Great job! totally fantastic the way you handled it and you must be so proud. Your husband was a great coach as well! Being in a vertical position must have made the labor progress very quickly. Congrats!

Would you ever consider a planned home birth if you had another baby? You did amazing. All three of you did!

But great job! Your husband did awesome, too, especially since this wasn’t planned

shows how much she thinks of her baby, having it in a filthy toilet instead of calling ambulance
16. June 2010 at 2:13 pm
@Newyorkgurl20 I’m not sure what state you keep your house in, but I can assure that my toilet was clean.
Maybe try to be a little less ignorant please.

I linked this on facebook and have had a few people ask 2 questions, was this a VBAC? and was Harper Breech? (personally i see no C/S scar and it looked head firs to me but whatever lol)
22. June 2010 at 4:50 pm
@edaj84 Nope, not a VBAC. The scar is actually from another surgery I had years ago. And Harper was definitely head first.
22. June 2010 at 4:52 pm
@edaj84 Nope, not a VBAC. It’s actually an abdominoplasty scar from after my first baby (back when we thought we didn’t want more kids.) And Harper was definitely head first.

@Newyorkgurl20 If you disinfect the toilet it’s fine. What’s funny is getting into an ambulance is prob more filthy than anything. And uncomfortable. She was doing fine just easing the baby out at home on her own.

Wow..your hubby is amazing! Mine would have fell out on the floor..lol..that is amazing!
28. June 2010 at 3:25 pm
you have no idea how this has inspired me. my husband and i are thinking of home birth with him as the midwife (or husband) if you may. i completely love how all you managed. my heartiest congratulations for a job well done.

This is the cutest sweetest thing I have ever seen!! When the little girl says “Hi baby!” Awwww!! What a wonderful feeling to get to deliver your own baby. And what a strong woman to do it without so much as a whimper!
